There are so many options when it comes to eating in the city. Toronto has so many choices to offer when it comes to food: Indian, Chinese, Ukranian, vegan – it’s hard to know where to begin. If you’re interested in trying something new, or just want a place to enjoy your meal (after sharing it online), then this list is for you – we won’t beet around the bush. Here are the top trendy restaurants in toronto 2019:

1. Bob’s Bulgogi

Located downtown not too far from the Eaton Centre, Bob’s Bulgogi is a fantastic place for Korean food. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall – in a good way. It’s a hidden gem that serves up two authentic dishes, but the variety among those two just proves that the quality is excellent. Combined with friendly staff and a clean location, Bob’s Bulgogi is one place that you have to visit.

2. Fran’s

Everyone knows Fran’s. They’ve got essential diner foods like burgers, fran-wiches, and best of all, all-day breakfast. They’ve got that old-school appeal that people hold near and dear, which might be why it’s so popular. Fun fact: It’s said to have beem the popular hangout of Glenn Gould.

3. Smoke’s Poutinerie

Another Canadian chain, Smoke’s has dominated Toronto with it’s spin on the popular comfort food. Some poutine flavours include pulled pork, butter chicken, and Rainbow, and of course, a good, ol’ fashioned original recipe.Β  Smoke’s marketing is something to take note of: through word of mouth and stickers plastered everywhere, the company has become so large and popular, they opened locations across Canada in major cities, run food trucks, and even opened a location in California.

4. Ranu Thai Cuisine

Ranu Thai has some of the best food found in the west end of Toronto. The authentic Thai street food is served in generous portions, and everything on the menu should be tried at least once (especially the hand-made cheese wontons). Although the resturant is small, it’s got a cozy atmosphere and the staff are all friendly. It’s a place that should be added to your list.

Poke is a huge trend here in Toronto, and it isn’t going away. Pokito offers bowls, burritos, and desserts that are delicious and well worth the money. This isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill Italian resturant; this is authentic Northern Italian. Expect your pasta to be el dente, the meals to be heavy, and very delicious.
