This year we’ve seen a lot of trends – many of them have died out, but some are still going strong. Our top 2021 jewellery trends for this year are ones that will last into 2022 and even beyond.
Herringbone Chains
Herringbone chains made a huge comeback in 2020, and they’re still going strong now. Made with woven strands of precious metals, our herringbone chains come in a variety of widths and lengths, and are available in sterling silver, gold vermeil, and karat gold. Herringbones are great for layering and were a base accessory for the neck mess trend.
Paperclip Chains
Paperclip chains became popular around the same time as herringbone chains. Similar to anchor chains, they’re made of rectangular links with round corners. These were also a staple in the neck mess trend. House of Jewellery carries this style of chain in several different widths in sterling silver, gold vermeil, and karat gold. These are great wearing in layers, but also look good on their own.
Croissant Jewellery
The chic and class of the croissant motif made it popular this year. The minimalist style fit well into modern fashion and allowed for minor variances in grooves and thicknesses to elevate the appearance of any outfit making it one of our favourite top 2021 jewellery trends. HOJ carries this trend in different ring and earring designs.
Chunky Hoops
Chunky hoops never really went out of style to begin with, but they took centre stage this year. Whether people were looking for huggies or giant hoops, the thicker options were always better.
Gold Signet Rings
While signet rings did well in general, karat gold signet rings were so big they’re one of the top 2021 jewellery trends we expect to see next year. Signet rings leave a lot of room for both men and women to express themselves. Wearing signet rings either plain or engraved, thick or thin, and in different shapes and sizes allow people lots of room to play with fashion.
