How to stack and layer jewellery? Let’s Get Stacking!

The trend that keeps on trending… stacking and layering jewellery. Stacking and layering jewellery is a trend that shows no signs of going away anytime soon. It’s the perfect combination between a minimalist and maximalist look; the most simplistic pieces can come together to create trendy looks. It is important to understand what works well and what types of jewellery you will need in your collection in order to smoothly help your customer choose the right pieces to achieve this look.

Stacking Rings

Stacking rings allows you to create more interesting looks. You can go for a trendy minimalist look by combining dainty rings or you can ring stack chunky rings that compliment subtle statements creating a unique look. One tip is to make sure to let your customers know that having one or two fingers empty is better while stacking rings because you do not want them to overdo it. More is better, yes, but sometimes having 3 rings and playing around with it can make so many different fun looks. Add to your stackable ring collection with some of our best-selling pieces here.

Stacking Bracelets

Bracelets are probably the easiest jewellery type to stack. It is hard to go wrong with stacking bracelets, as you can use almost any style of bracelet and different metals. When you’re talking about stacking bracelets, try to help your customer pick a focal point. Then the rest of the  bracelets you suggest would act as accents around it to create a textured and trendy look. The main tip and trick with bracelet stacking, is once you identify the focal point, it becomes easier to pick accent pieces that will highlight rather than overdo it.

Stacking Necklaces

The “neck mess” trend is a creative way for customers to layer their looks. By layering different styles of complimentary necklaces, you can tell a completely different story and style. Two is the minimum for layering, but too many necklaces and chains can start to get hectic. Choose between various shapes and sizes, we first suggest to start with a lighter long piece, like a pendant and keep it simple. Curb, rope and singapore chains usually go with anything but if your customers are looking to create a statement, try showing them herringbone, paperclip or figaro chains. These are also great for either wearing alone or even just with a simple pendant. A quick tip while helping your customers buy layered jewellery pieces, is to show them how it could be done by using visual displays.

For Retailers

Remember that having your customers layer or stack jewellery is a great way to suggest an “add-on” sale and also allows your clients to purchase multiple pieces from you at varying price points so they have a constant collection of items to grab from their jewellery collection. Sometimes having your associates wear stacked pieces gives your customer the visual cues they need to solidify the sales so we recommend that all customer facing representatives at your store also have layered looks of jewellery to help push for more in-store sales!
